Independent Software Developer

Practical software for everyday operations.

I build web applications, internal business tools, and API integrations, with a focus on simple systems that are easy to understand and maintain.

Simple solutions, thoughtfully built.

I’m Hegar, an independent software developer. I focus on understanding the problem, finding the smallest useful solution, and building software that fits the way people work.

My work brings together web interfaces, backend services, and external APIs to make operational information easier to manage and use.

Web applications
Clear interfaces for focused, practical workflows.
Internal business tools
Applications that help teams manage information and recurring tasks.
API integrations
Connections between systems, with attention to data validation, synchronization, and error handling.

Notaría OS

Private attendance management for a notary office in Mexico.

Notaría OS brings employee records, attendance events, and reporting into one internal application. It synchronizes attendance data into PostgreSQL and uses that stored information to produce consistent reports.

TypeScript · Node.js · Next.js · PostgreSQL · Supabase

Existing functionality

  • Employee records and employment-status management.
  • Scheduled synchronization of attendance events from an existing HR application.
  • Database-backed attendance calculations and reports.
  • Scheduled report delivery.
  • Authenticated access for internal users.

Hikvision integration

Planned · Under evaluation

A planned integration with Hikvision access-control terminals will support attendance-event collection and employee provisioning. The intended workflow includes retrieving historical and new events, matching device identities to employee records, and managing personnel, credentials, and access permissions.

We are evaluating direct device communication through ISAPI and cloud integration through Hik-Connect for Teams OpenAPI.

This integration is under evaluation and is not yet deployed.

Notaría OS is a private internal application. Source code, operational data, and the live dashboard are not publicly available.

How I approach a project

  1. Understand the workflow

Start with the people, information, and decisions the software needs to support.

  2. Keep the scope focused

Build the smallest useful solution and extend it when there is a clear need.

  3. Make it maintainable

Favor clear code, focused types, validation at system boundaries, and reliable data handling.

Let’s discuss your project.
